Portland, Ore. – The 142nd Wing out of the Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore. will conduct Veterans Day(November 11th) flyovers for ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Washington.
123rd Fighter Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Jonathan Friedman said the wing is excited to support the local communities’ flyover requests. “We’re extremely proud of our Pacific Northwest veterans and relish the opportunity to celebrate their service to our country. Hopefully everyone enjoys the sound of freedom from our F-15 Eagles!”
F-15 Eagle fighter jets are scheduled to conduct flyovers at the following community locations at, or around, the designated times on Saturday, November 11th.
10:30 a.m. Portland, Ore., Portland Veterans Day Parade
10:45 a.m. Tillamook, Ore.
11:00 a.m. Salem, Ore.
11:07 a.m. Estacada, Ore.
11:12 a.m. Portland, Ore., University of Portland
11:15 a.m. Vancouver, Wash.
11:30 a.m. Gig Harbor, Wash.
12:10 a.m. McMinnville, Ore.
All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and about 400 mph airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.
