The Manzanita branch of 1st Security Bank of Washington earlier this year provided a $5,000 unrestricted contribution to the Nehalem Bay Health District to enhance the construction budget for the new Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy and the renovation budget for our region’s only skilled nursing facility.
The Health District board expresses its great thanks to staff at the Manzanita branch for their support for the Health District, as well as for the Nehalem Valley Care Center.
And a very special thanks to Manzanita branch manager Jessie Davidson for championing the donation from 1st Security.
Unrestricted contributions like that made by 1st Security Bank are particularly valuable in that they allow greater flexibility in how the Health District utilizes general obligation bond funding approved by voters in May 2023. Those bond dollars are designed to support construction of the new Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy, renovation of the Nehalem Valley Care Center and predevelopment work related to the eventual creation of workforce housing.
Under Oregon law donations to the Health District, an Oregon special district, are tax deductible for the donor.
Watch for future announcements of a ground-breaking for the new health center and pharmacy soon.
