The Tillamook County 4-H Program is seeking volunteers to assist with tasks for the Tillamook County Fair, August 5-10, 2019. Volunteers receive an admission ticket for the fair on the days they volunteer or if they volunteer before fair opens they receive an admission ticket valid for one day of their choice during the fair. There will be training for clerks on Monday, July 29 at 5:00 PM. Volunteers are needed for the following jobs:
Fair Clerks – Clerks work alongside the official judge and act as the judge’s secretary. Clerks are needed on Monday, August 5 to work with judges for foods & food preservation; art and photography. During fair, clerks are needed each day to assist with the animal shows.
4-H Horse Fair – Horse fair happens before the county fair on July 15 & 16 at the fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed for various tasks.
4-H Office Assistants – Volunteers are needed to work in the 4-H Office at the fair each day. Shifts are 3-4 hours. Volunteers will assist with office tasks and greet the public.
Exhibit Display – Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, August 6 to display exhibits in photography and foods for viewing during the fair.
4-H Kitchen – Volunteers are needed to assist with meal clean-up in the 4-H Kitchen at the dorm each day. Volunteers receive a meal voucher good for one meal during the fair.
Exhibit Release – volunteers are needed to assist with exhibit release and premium payout on Saturday, August 10, 8-10 pm.
