The full Moon in Cancer is filled with stormy emotions that most of us are struggling with. There are a lot of intense global events going on right now that are leaking into our everyday moments. This Moon is intensifying them.
This is the first full Moon of 2025 and already so many things have transpired. The fires that rage in LA are so horrific that it is hard to process. Feelings of powerlessness might be tormenting you. How can we help? How is it possible that such an enduring part of the US could be going up in smoke?
Things feel unstable and uncertain.
This Moon is conjunct Mars, retrograde in Cancer and opposing Pluto. This aspect is showing us where we need to work on stabilizing our emotions by digging into them. If you feel powerlessness, you will find Pluto.
This energy is also guiding us to build stronger support systems to care for ourselves and our families.
We may be seeing our vulnerabilities starkly outlined in the Moonlight. The places where we don’t have boundaries and are overstretched or where we don’t take care of ourselves are going to be spotlighted for us to do some triage on.
But take heart! Cancer is well known for its deep well of compassion and love. This Moon will also be filled with the courage of a mother bear and give you that fortitude to overcome these challenges. Not only will you overcome them, but you will find a way to do it with love and cookies.
Cancers are magicians of safe space and Capricorns are the manifestors. This Moon is all about manifesting safe space for you and your loved ones. Find some quiet time and make a list of actions, people and thoughts that create safe space for you.
Go to this list in times of trouble to create comfort.
Remember to find your power in times like this, you may need to bring your circle in tighter. Focus on family, friends, community and places where your good work and love can make a difference. Making a difference brings belongingness, the ultimate Cancer/Capricorn goal.
Also Neptune is trining (a positive and copacetic energy) this Moon which gives it a higher vibe. So no matter the mess things seem in, there is also a way to make peace with it. This peace starts in you.
