Dear Earthlings
I know life has been intense and challenging. We are being called into our depths to feel more, look deeper and most important, question what brings us fulfillment.
The narrative our culture is informing us is that having more stuff brings satisfaction but we have all discovered it doesn’t. This New Moon in Scorpio is inviting us to find what brings us depth in life that isn’t material.
What brings each of us fulfillment is very different from person to person. We must be very brave and kind with ourselves to pursue our personal desires because we are also instinctually fearful of being rejected for being different. Put on your superhero cape for this New Moon and allow yourself to question the narrative and find meaning for you personally.
Finding this path can seem like walking through the dark woods, full of demons and trolls that want to lead you into peril. Yes, you will tempted to stray off down a path that is lit with shiny unfulfilling enticements but stay true to yourself. A light will appear to guide you through the tangled woods. Remember you must FEEL your way through this, you will not out-think this Scorpio Moon phase. Your intuition is heightened. Listen to it!
Uranus and Mars are deeply woven into this New Moon so know that what you need to change in your life, will be revealed. Mars will give you the courage to make these changes but make sure to temper the call to action with kindness. Whenever Uranus is involved, keep an open mind and hand.
Perhaps you don’t know your own path. Don’t be afraid, this New Moon will assist you in revealing a truer, deeper way for you. Call out to it like you would a lost child. Call it to you through want and need. As the dark grows ever darker this time of year, use that as a symbol to accept the journey into yourself.
In astrology, there is a thing called “Sabian Symbols” where each degree of the Zodiac has a meaning attached to it. The Sabian Symbol for this Moon at 21° Scorpio is “Obeying his conscience, a soldier resists orders.” This is a profound metaphor for this Moon. It offers us the importance of following our own path through the tangled woods that will doubtlessly be rejected by society.
But the Sabian Symbol also invites us to reflect on the “conscience – orders” polarity. One way to look at it is that ‘Mars’ (conjunct the Sun) is our ‘conscience’, and ‘Uranus’ – the unreasonable ‘orders’.
New Moons always mark the start of a new cycle and this one is a strong reminder to not be afraid of letting go to start again. Don’t knock on doors that are closed; let your intuition guide you toward the ones that naturally open before you.
