What could be better then getting up close and personal with a fire truck? How about driving a bus? Check out a Tillamook PUD ladder truck and more. On Tuesday May 3rd that’s exactly what a bunch of families got to do in downtown Tillamook on Laurel Street by City Hall. There were dozens of vehicles from a variety of organizations for kids and adults to interact with, as well as community services and groups with information tables and much more. This was part of the City of Tillamook’s recognition of Public Service Recognition Week to take a moment to say thank you to all the hardworking, dedicated and committed Public Servants! As Pioneer photographer Don Backman said, “This was a really cool event!”
