The Medical Reserve Corps of EVCNB (Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay) is offering a free zoom class to discuss Disaster Preparedness for Pets.
The class will be on Feb. 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The guest speaker will be Robert Kroll, DVM, a Portland-based veterinarian.
As people make their own plans for what to do and how to survive in an emergency, they should also make plans to prepare and care for pets when a disaster strikes. Pets can frighten easily and get lost during an emergency. They will also need supplies immediately following a disaster-food, water, shelter, and other items to help them survive. Be ready to help them by planning ahead.
The Zoom class is free and open to the public. Click here for more information and to access the Zoom link.
EVCNB also has information and downloadable Pet checklists on their website.
