Eric is an extraordinarily talented storyteller, creator, painter, and musician who is an avid supporter of the arts in our community. Join us, and bring a friend! Tickets are $20 in advance by reservation at baycityartscenter@gmail.com, or $25 at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7pm.
July 1, 5pm-7pm we have Tim Maynard as the BCAC Artist of the Month. This monthly event is free and open to the public. Tim specializes in underwater photography. His photos give us a glimpse into the vivid world of our aquatic neighbors. Tim’s work extends beyond just ocean and underwater photography, too. It is a show you won’t want to miss.
July 9 & 10, 9am-4pm, Charlie Wooldridge will be hosting Discovery in Stone. This is a stone carving workshop aimed to help its participants uncover the emerging form of the organic material. The BCAC provides stone, tools, and instruction from 9am to 4pm both days. Tuition is by donation, and participants are asked to bring a lunch or plan on visiting one of Bay City’s local dining establishments. To register for Discovery in Stone, call Charlie at 503-842-7013.
On July 15 at 7pm, Hope Montgomery with the Invasive Species will open for Adventureland, a band of good-natured indie rock coming all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas. Their music has been described as lush, bright, and melody-centered, moving freely between emotional highs and lows. Tickets are $20 in advance by reservation at baycityartscenter@gmail.com, or $25 at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the show starts at 7pm.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR for upcoming events include a concert with Karyn Ann & Friends on July 23 at 7pm. There will be a Printmaking Workshop on July 23 and 24, 9am-4pm both days.
