The Tillamook County Pioneer is pleased to support, sponsor and announce that the Queer Prom will be happening despite the various barriers and attempts to stop this event over the last two weeks. Let them dance! Now the biggest need is to make sure there are bodies on the dance floor! Come one, come all – LGBTQIA and allies … Teen Queer Prom (ages 13-18) – Saturday May 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, followed by an Adults Queer Prom from 8 to 10 pm. When you register/purchase your ticket, you will be given the location.
To assure safety and because of other concerns, we are not publicizing the location. You can be sure that this will be a safe event.
The organizing group, Tilamook Pride has been doing all they can to make this a safer event for the community. They will have professional, uniformed security on site. Please help spread the word …
Come join other members of the LGBTQIA community and our allies for a fun community event. The theme is Over The Rainbow. Dress code is nice clothes to formal wear, on theme costumes allowed so long as appropriate (no dangerous parts/weapons, too revealing/sexually inappropriate, etc.). Please no sweats or light wash, faded, ripped jeans.
This is a sober event. Light snacks, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. There will be a DJ and dancing, a photo station, and even an introvert corner.
Adult event is for ages 18 years of age and up only. Teens/students age 13-18 will have a separate event earlier the same evening.
So grab your friends and your dancing shoes and come have some fun in community.
No marijuana or drinking allowed. Please help us make this a safer event for everyone by arriving and staying sober. Thank you!

The funds we have raised so far have allowed us to make the Teen Queer Prom FREE so our youth have easier access to attend. Any money raised above the cost of the event will go to the formation of the Tillamook Pride non-profit organization.
