(TILLAMOOK, OR. JANUARY 9, 2025) On January 8, 2025, the Tillamook Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) voted unanimously to approve fee increases for tent camping, RV sites and cabin rentals to keep pace with the rising costs of utilities, refuse management and help off-set county budget deficits.
Tillamook County Parks is a self-funded (user fee based) government agency and does not derive any revenue from property taxes. Like many of the campgrounds on the Oregon coast, the Tillamook County Parks system continues to experience record visitation as well as impacts of rising costs and inflation.
For many years camping fees have remained unchanged despite heavy demands for services.
While Tillamook County Parks strives to keep costs and fees as low as possible, decisions to raise fees are made of necessity and are based on facts and metrics.
The new fee schedule for Tillamook County Parks will go into effect February 1, 2025.
Increases in base rate by site type:
- $5 increase for tent sites (Includes brown and blue tent sites, group camp areas)
- $5 increase for RV sites (includes back-in and pull-through sites)
- $5 increase for cabins and mini mobiles.
- Off season (October 1 through April 30) camping rates have been discontinued.
In addition to the review of the camping fees, the BOCC also approved a change in annual day use access passes, to be valid for one year from the date of purchase. Prior to this, passes were valid to the end of the calendar year.
Tillamook County Parks will continue to explore options in the future that reduce cost as a barrier while earning needed revenue to maintain our parks and manage the growing demand. For more information, to make reservations or purchase annual pass, go to https://www.tillamookcounty.gov/parks
