EDITOR’S NOTE: Regular readers I’m sure wondered where Geezer Tribe was last week and if you know Linda you know that she doesn’t “miss a deadline.” Even when I told her that with online publishing there aren’t any deadlines. But she’s committed to providing her readers with a weekly view … Linda enlightens here about her efforts to adopt new technology as her mobility decreases. We are aging into disability and Linda is showing us how we need to be adaptable, too. Sending you good vibes and tech success. Big Hugs!

Some people go on spring break in the spring. Some use it as an excuse to get out of doing something they are having difficulty doing. I am in the second group. I didn’t write anything last week because my hands just don’t cooperate right now, and I have failed to learn something new. I vowed to learn voice to text in one week and not leave people who read this without anything to read.
Here I am, a week later and none the better. Still not trained in voice to text. My cheeseball excuse is that I had company. I did and it was wonderful. What I did not do was knuckle down to this computer and get smart. For these reasons and a couple of other minor setbacks I am declaring Spring Break for Geezers. Why? Because I can and you can come with me. We plan to go nowhere and do nothing but learn one new skill. You already know mine…your turn to choose something you’ve put off learning.
Good luck and have a great week. You’ll know I’ve made it when you see this again. (And hopefully it’s soon!) Why? I hate typing with two fingers. I’m old. I’ve typed the other way for years. I am trying to learn new technology for you. I hope you feel some guilt. No laughing.
