(Lincoln City, OR) — The Oregon Trial Lawyers Association is stationing volunteers around the state to help victims who are struggling with insurance claims in the wake of the wildfires. This Saturday, October 10, from 12-4 pm they will have attorneys available at the Lincoln City Outlet Mall, Room 410, to answer people’s questions at no charge.
Representative David Gomberg announced the program in cooperation with the OTLA. “While most insurance claims are moving smoothly, these volunteers can help explain contracts and address lowball offers, pressure to settle quickly, rejection of contractors’ bids for clean up, and other causes of concern.”
“My deepest thanks to the Oregon Trial Lawyers for their assistance during this trying time,” said Representative Gomberg. “Their visit is an excellent opportunity for fire victims to learn more about their options for recourse.”
OTLA has put together some videos responding to Frequent Questions at http://www.oregontriallawyers.org/FireResources . They also have volunteers who can assist by phone at 800-809-0616.
