The low pressure area that give us the rain over the weekend, moved across northwestern Oregon near Astoria earlier this morning, and is now pushing towards central Washington. This has given us some breezy southwesterly winds this morning that pulled up some milder temperatures with the overnight low only down to 50. We did see some light rainshowers this morning from the system but the rain and rainshowers are lifting out of the area with the low as it exits Oregon to the northeast. The mild weather has even raised the temperatures to above freezing across the Coast Range Passes eastward with the only area still seeing freezing temperatures and rain being through the Gorge and Hood River areas where the temperature continues to fall below freezing in the overnight hours.
We keep a chance of showers tonight with some unstable air over the area though the winds ease, becoming easterly 4-8, the overnight low down to near 45.
We see that chance of showers still tomorrow morning that become more widely scattered in the afternoon, winds becoming southwesterly 4-8, the high near 53. More rain moves in tomorrow night ahead of another decent front that pushes through early Wednesday morning. The winds will become more easterly 5-10 tomorrow night, the low drops to near 45.
Again, the front pushes though Wednesday morning before noon, then we transition to showers in the afternoon, the winds becoming southerly 10-15 gusting to near 25, afternoon temperatures climb to near 52. The shower activity continues Wednesday night, then throw in a chance of thunderstorms starting by midnight, winds southwesterly 10-15 gusting to near 25, lows still near 45.
Thursday on the active weather pattern continues with a trough of low pressure just off the coast so we see rainy conditions returning Thursday that persist through Friday, with afternoon high temperatures continuing around 53, and nighttime lows falling to near 44 Thursday but warming Friday night to near 47.
It looks like a ridge of high pressure tries to build in over the weekend, so we likely see that shower activity becoming more widely scattered if not totally ending, with the temperatures warming to near 61 by Sunday, and the lows only down near 49.
