Well, buckle up fans, here comes another one. This afternoon we see more rain, then some winds, moving in ahead of another warm front that evolves into another atmospheric river that is expected to bring yet another 1-2” of rain, maybe up near 3” in the Coast Range. While the winds today aren’t so bad, tonight they become southerly 15-20 gusting to near 40 with the beaches possible seeing winds 25-35 gusting to near 65. A High Wind Warning is in effect from midnight tonight until 3 pm tomorrow. Tonight, the rain also increases, becoming moderate to heavy at times, the low down near 55. And, as mentioned in yesterday’s forecast, our river flooding concerns continue to be low with this system.
Tomorrow, we see postfrontal showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms, still breezy with southerly winds 15-20 gusting to near 40, the high near 62. The showers and possible thunderstorms continue tonight, not quite as windy with southerly winds of 10-15 gusting to 30, the low near 49.
The models are suggesting another, weaker, atmospheric river event for Sunday, so in comes another round of rain with southerly winds 10-15 gusting to 30, highs near 58, then we transition back to showers with possible thunderstorms by Sunday night, still breezy, lows near 48.
REMEMBER to “Fall Back” on Sunday November 5th.
Next week starts out with a cooler trough of low pressure settling over the area so Monday looks showery, still that slight chance of thunderstorms, and still breezy, the high near 56, lows near 45.
We see rain Tuesday morning then transition back to showers Tuesday afternoon that persist that night into Wednesday, the high near 55, lows near 41. The chance of showers continues on Wednesday and Thursday.
