A nice, though somewhat chilly, morning with the temperature dropping to near 37. Clouds will be moving in ahead of the next weaking front that bring s some light rain into the area later tonight through the early morning hours tomorrow. So, mostly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight with the rain moving in around midnight, the winds southeasterly 4-8, and the low near 44.
The light rain continues tomorrow and may ease further after the sun goes down, winds easterly 4-8, highs near 54. The rain continues to diminish later tomorrow night under cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, east winds 4-8 still, lows near 42.
A ridge of high pressure builds on Friday, the winds easterly 5-10, highs warming to near 57, a mostly cloudy night with east winds 5-10 still, lows near 39.
Over the weekend, we are watching a low pressure area that develops off the California coast, towards the bottom of a trough of low pressure that extends southward from the parent low pressure area that was in the Gulf of Alaska. The low off California becomes cut off from the jet stream and is then forecasted to meander around that area before drifting northward along the coast Sunday and Monday. This would bring a chance of rain back into our area starting Sunday, making rain likely Sunday night, that could continue Monday as it moves up towards Vancouver Island. It looks like by Tuesday the previously mentioned trough of low pressure moves in towards the coast so look for more rain with this system also. All the rain will push the rivers up a little, but not enough to elevate any flooding concerns.
Today is another day of the peak King Tides so be careful at the beaches!
