A high pressure ridge continues to build over the region, giving us a fair and mild day. The mostly clear skies this morning did allow for radiational cooling that dropped the morning temperature down to near 37 degrees. We do continue to see some mid and high clouds streaking up over the ridge so look for some mostly cloudy skies tonight, the winds remain easterly 4-8, tonight’s low temperature drops to near 40.
Tomorrow the ridge is still dominating our weather, so we enjoy another fair and mild day with partly sunny skies, the dry east winds hold, highs climbing up to near 59. Tomorrow night the ridge remains but we do see a low pressure area getting cut off from the jet stream flow, setting up west of California in the eastern Pacific. What this means for us is we see partly cloudy skies tomorrow night, the winds easterly 5-10, lows near 41.
Sunday, we start out with partly sunny skies again with those east winds 5-10, the afternoon high climbs back up to near 59. Sunday night though we see a trough of low pressure spinning off the low down near California and this will start to give is an increasing chance of rain that night, the lows near 43.
It looks like next week will be influenced by the low pressure area off of California. This low will continue to meander there, but also be pumping moisture northward into our area. The good news is the bulk of the moisture will be well south into California, but some will still make it up into our area, so Monday looks wet with rain, then some showers with possible thunderstorms that night, breezy also, highs near 54, lows near 46.
More rain is likely Tuesday with a chance still on Wednesday and Thursday, highs near 56, lows near 41.
