Yesterday’s front brought 1/4″ to 3/4″ of rain across the area and coastal winds up to 40 mph. We are between systems tonight as a ridge of high pressure moves across. The weather will be quiet tonight, though with mostly cloudy skies. The winds easterly 5-10, the overnight low near 39.
Tomorrow starts out mostly sunny, but we will have the next in the series of systems pushing in the clouds tomorrow afternoon. The afternoon winds becoming easterly 8-12 gusting to 20, high temperatures near 58. There is a slight chance of rain starting tomorrow afternoon, and that chance increases during the day with rain likely by tomorrow night. Tomorrow night the winds also increase, becoming southerly 15-20 gusting to 35, lows near 42.
Friday we have a trough of low pressure that will drop southward towards California and it still appears a low pressure area will develop over California by Saturday. This will also start to push down the snow levels. So, for Friday, we can expect to see more rain with westerly winds 5-10, highs near 49. A chance of rain still Friday night as the snow level drops to around 2600’, lows near 38.
The low pressure area over California pulls the moisture down with it so we only have a slight chance of rain still on Saturday, the snow level down to near 2300’ with a high of 49. By Saturday night a flat ridge of high pressure forms well off to the west which opens up the door with a more westerly flow aloft which in turn starts to increase the rain chances for our area, lows Saturday night down near 37.
Sunday the low in California continues to shift east, and our chance of rain increases, the high near 52, lows near 41.
Monday looks rainy and breezy with another trough of low pressure dropping down, the high near 49, more rain Monday night, the snow level dips to around 1800’, breezy also, lows dropping to near 34.
Tuesday also looks rainy and breezy, the high only near 44, and the snow level drops to near 1400’ which means the higher Coast Range passes could see some snow yet again.
