We continue to see some isolated showers dropping down through the area in the northwesterly flow created by a large trough of low pressure to the east, and a sharp ridge to the west. This provides a road for disturbances to be pushed down that bring periods of increased light rain as they move though. All this to say, we do have a chance of light showers today and a little better chance tonight with westerly winds of 5-10, highs today near 49 and tonight’s lows near 41. The snow level remains around 2300’.
We see an uptick in the activity still tomorrow, some light southeasterly winds that push the snow level up above 3000’, the high near 49. The activity starts to diminish in the evening tomorrow leaving only a slight chance of light showers tomorrow night, still the light southeasterly winds, the low near 40.
With a ridge of high pressure building in over the weekend, Saturday’s weather looks pretty nice with mostly to partly sunny skies, southeasterly winds 4-8, the high up near 54, but then Saturday night as the next in a series of troughs brings us some clouds and rain that night, lows near 42.
It looks like Sunday we see another disturbance, then another one Monday so more rain likely both days, still the light southeasterly winds with highs near 54, lows near 42. We continue to have a chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday though the models do head off into different directions, some say we see a ridge and warmer weather, other say cooler with more rain.
Don’t forget the King Tides peak on Sunday and Monday as well which will increase the beach hazards and possibly bring in some tidal overflow flooding in the usual areas.
