A warm front pushed in some light to moderate rain across the area today. The rain will continue through this evening and tonight so we can expect the cloudy and rainy conditions to continue this evening with southerly winds 8-12 gusting to 20. Later tonight though, the front pushes through and the winds shift, becoming more westerly, and the rain starts to ease. The low temperature tonight is down to around 43.
Tomorrow looks mostly cloudy to cloudy as a disturbance pushes across and gives us a chance of rain with southwesterly winds 4-8, highs near 54, lows near 45.
It looks like a ridge will race across Saturday and will help give us some sun breaks Saturday afternoon, capping the showers that persisted from the evening before. The winds southerly 4-8, the high near 57. Another disturbance moves in behind the ridge Saturday night, so we see a chance of showers again that night with the low near 45.
A system moves across to the north Sunday and likely increases the shower chance. I say likely because if the system moves across further north than expected we see less of a chance, a more southerly track means more precipitation. So, we go with some showers Sunday under mostly cloudy skies, the high near 53, still a chance of showers Sunday night, lows near 42.
Then there is next week, indications are that we could be drying out some with Monday starting with a chance of showers that morning but becoming partly sunny and dry Monday afternoon, the high up near 55, lows near 39 with the partly cloudy skies allowing for radiational cooling.
With a ridge building over the region, we see mostly sunny skies Tuesday, and with the ridge and the increased sunshine, we could make it up to around 62 that afternoon. We expect partly cloudy skies still Tuesday night, lows near 44.
Now, hold on to your shorts my friends, on Wednesday we could see mostly sunny skies with a high near….66! How’s that for a pleasant change? It might be spring after all …
