We had a few lingering showers today that diminished this afternoon as the trough that was responsible pushed off to the east. Tonight, we will see the beginning of the change in the weather as Spring sets in with partly cloudy skies and light easterly winds that allow for radiational cooling so the lows drop down to near 38.
Tomorrow, we see the ridge of high pressure building in that brings mostly sunny skies, winds becoming westerly 5-10, the high up near 60. With partly cloudy skies tomorrow night, and light winds, the ridge keeps the low to only 42 degrees.
We continue to dry out and warm up Wednesday, thanks to the ridge just off to the west, bringing northerly winds 8-12 in the afternoon, highs up near 70, then partly cloudy and breezy Wednesday night, lows near 48.
Thursday turns out to be another mostly sunny day, the high up near 71, and even with mostly clear skies, the ridge helps keep the low up around 52 degrees that night, which is near our high temperatures last week!
Friday the ridge builds some more, and the ridge axis shifts over us, pushing the highs in Tillamook up to near 77 degrees under sunny skies. We see another mostly clear night Friday with the low around 50.
The ridge continues to shift east over the weekend which will unfortunately limit the high temperatures. Saturday looks mostly sunny and 67 while Sunday looks mostly sunny and 59.
The long range models suggest a weak trough will move in the beginning of next week with a chance of light precipitation around Tuesday.
