We finally get a taste of spring as a strong high pressure ridge builds over the region through the end of the week. The ridge does flatten some tonight as a trough of low pressure slides across to the north, through British Columbia. This will push a few clouds across tonight, but we still manage to keep some partly cloudy skies with westerly winds that die off tonight, the low near 44.
Tomorrow the ridge starts to rebound and builds stronger by tomorrow afternoon, and this brings us mostly sunny skies with the winds becoming westerly 10-15 gusting to near 30, the high up near 69. Look for partly cloudy skies tomorrow night, the winds becoming more northerly as they diminish, lows near 46.
Thursday, another mostly sunny, dry day with northerly winds 5-10, the high likely hits 70. The ridge continues to strengthen Thursday night bringing mostly clear skies, the low only down to near 52.
Friday, we see the ridge bringing light easterly winds across the area as the ridge starts to drift eastward, this gives us sunny skies, and the high could climb up close to 80 in the afternoon. As the ridge shifts inland, the marine influence cools us down some, the low near 48.
It looks like an approaching trough of low pressure will still allow for some mostly sunny skies Saturday, the high only up around 65, in comes more clouds associated with the approaching trough Saturday night, lows near 45.
The trough gives us a slight chance of showers Sunday under mostly cloudy skies, the high down near 56, still the clouds and the slight chance of showers Sunday night, lows near 43.
It looks like we have a better chance of showers Monday with a slight chance of, “Spring Showers” lingering for much of next week with the highs around the mid 50s, and lows near the mid 40s.
