The northwesterly flow has weakened today, as has the trough just off the coast which translates to fewer showers, and even fewer tonight. Tonight’s forecast is for the showers to diminish as a weak ridge moves across, winds westerly 5-10 becoming southeasterly 4-8, the low still forecasted to drop to near 34.
We see the rain returning tomorrow afternoon with an approaching warm front, and with the winds becoming southerly 5-10, highs near 48, the snow level climbs to near 2500’. Then rainy and breezy with southerly winds 14-18 gusting to 30 tomorrow night, the low drops to near 41 and the snow level lifts to near 3400’.
Thursday, we expect a trough of low pressure to enhance the rain and winds so, expect rainy conditions to continue with the winds increasing to southerly 15-20 gusting to 30 with gusts to 45-55 possible at the beaches so we may see some wind warnings issued if this model output persist. The high near 53, still rainy and windy Thursday night, lows near 43. As far as rain, we could see between 1 and 1 ½” of rain Wednesday thru Wednesday night. This will increase the river flows some, but nothing alarming.
Friday, we transition to post-frontal scattered showers that persist into Saturday, highs near 55, lows near 43.
Easter Sunday we possibly see another ridge which suggests fewer showers, but some of the models also show another trough dropping in, bringing another chance of rain or rainshowers with breezy conditions, that afternoon, with a front moving across Sunday night.
