First, I hope everyone had (or are having) a wonderful, and safe, holiday weekend. As for the weather, it did its part yesterday with sunny skies with highs near the mid 60s. With the continues onshore flow, the marine stratus clouds pushed in again overnight but cleared up nicely again today, and with the breezy onshore flow, the high was again in the mid 60s. As you might guess, the marine clouds will return tonight, and the winds will ease, the low near 44.
The back-to-work forecast for tomorrow, a trough of low pressure dropping down from the northwest will again influence the weather by keeping us cooler, giving us some sunny skies in the afternoon, the winds becoming northwesterly 10-15 gusting to 25, the high near 61. The winds will ease again tomorrow night under partly cloudy skies, lows near 45.
A disturbance crosses the area Wednesday, so we see only partly sunny skies with the winds becoming northwesterly 5-10, the high only near 60, then partly cloudy skies Wednesday night, the lows near 43.
After Wednesday we have a ridge building to the east of us while the trough to the west of us also strengthens. The result is sunny skies for us with the temperatures warming a few degrees each day through the end of the week, so, a high of 63 Thursday, 66 on Friday, and up to 69 Saturday…and Sunday, up near 70.
Maybe, just maybe…we see a hint of some showers for next week, somewhere!
