Good news, if you like warmer weather, it appears Spring plans to make an appearance the rest of this week. We had a low pressure area to the south spreading rain across the region today as it pushed inland then moved northward along the Cascades. This means the shower chance will continue to diminish tonight under cloudy skies, the winds diminish also, with the low dropping to near 46.
Tomorrow things start to improve, dry out, and the gradual warming begins as the low pressure area continues to move inland. So, tomorrow we will slowly become sunny with winds becoming northwesterly 5-10 in the afternoon, highs near 61. We will see mostly clear skies tomorrow night with light winds, the low near 42.
Wednesday a high pressure ridge builds in, and we start the warmup with mostly sunny skies, the winds becoming northwesterly 4-8, highs near 64. Partly cloudy skies that night, lows near 45.
The rest of the week is dominated by the high pressure ridge which continues to bring mostly sunny skies, the high temperature Thursday up near 66, then Friday we get up near 73. The nighttime lows also warm up and with partly cloudy skies, Thursday only drops to near 47 and Friday only down to near 53.
As for the weekend, in a word…nice. We are expecting sunny skies, some easterly winds with the high temperature Saturday up near 81 and Sunday, we make it to near 84. The lows only drop into the lows 60s.
The long range models suggest a weak onshore flow returns Monday and that would likely cool things down a bit, likely into the mid to low 70s for the start of next week.
