HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORDON!
Well, other than being a little breezy, today was a stellar day with sunny skies with the temperatures hitting the mid and upper 70s. The big weather picture is we have a low pressure area down off the northern California coast and a weak high pressure ridge to the north. The end result was the breezy northerly winds. The winds will die down tonight under partly cloudy skies, the low near 51.
The flow tomorrow will become more onshore as a weak upper level low pressure area drifts west into western Washington so we see partly sunny skies, the winds becoming westerly 5-10, with more of the marine influence the highs only near 66. We have some cooler air aloft moving in tomorrow night that some of the models suggest will give us a slight chance of drizzle or some light showers, otherwise, look for mostly cloudy skies, light winds, lows near 50.
A weak trough remains over the region this weekend, giving us a mostly sunny day Saturday and Sunday, daytime winds northwesterly 5-10, the highs near 67, then some partly cloudy nights with light winds, the low near 50.
As for next week, the low pressure area remains down over northern California while we remain in a weak steering pattern that appears to also have weak disturbances move across. This is giving the models a challenge, but it looks like we see mostly sunny skies on Monday, the high near 68, the clouds move in Monday night, lows near 52. One of those disturbances gives us partly sunny skies Tuesday, then back to mostly sunny skies for Wednesday, the highs near 68, mostly cloudy nights still, lows near 52.
