Weather
Well, at least all the cloudiness is stopping the temperature from dropping so low, last night’s low temperature was only 59. This morning we had an upper level trough of low pressure move across that did little other than to keep the onshore flow pushing in the marine clouds and maybe lower the temperature a few degrees. This meant we had to wait until later in the afternoon to see the sun poking through some. Behind the trough we will see a more zonal flow setting up, so the onshore flow will continue, and we see the marine clouds getting pushed in again tonight, the winds die off, the low drops to near 51.
Tomorrow looks to be a partly sunny day with the westerly winds becoming 5-10 by the afternoon, highs near 65. We will see another upper level trough sliding through, mainly towards the north, tomorrow night into Wednesday that again enhances the onshore flow and we will see the marine layer thickening again so look for clouds skies Tuesday night, light winds, the low near 51.
Hang in there because it appears Wednesday will become mostly sunny with northwesterly winds 5-10, the high near 66, then how about some mostly clear skies Wednesday night, the low near 50.
Then, the models agree that a ridge of high pressure will build in and dominate the pattern the rest of the week and weekend. This gives us sunny skies Thursday, the high near 66, lows near 50.
The weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) looks sunny with highs in the low 70s, and with mostly clear nights, lows near 52.
