The dry summer continues as high pressure moves in and builds over the area once more. We had another sunny day with highs in the 70s again and with the valley at least 10 degrees warmer. The increased westerly flow, has Red Flag Warning through 7PM this evening in the valley. As for us, with the stable atmosphere, we see partly cloudy skies tonight, the breezy westerly winds ease, maybe some patchy early morning fog, the low tonight near 50.
The ridge drifts over the area tomorrow so another mostly sunny day, breezy once again with winds westerly 15-20 gusting to 30, the high up near 74 again while the valley climbs back into the 90s once more. We could see some marine clouds tomorrow night along with that patchy morning fog, the breezy winds ease again, lows near 54.
By Thursday, the ridge will have drifted east into Idaho and Nevada while a large low pressure area continues to spin up in the Gulf of Alaska. We do see a weak disturbance giving us partly sunny skies with winds becoming westerly 14-18, gusting to 30 once again, highs near 69, a partly cloudy night, the winds ease late, lows near 54.
Being stuck between these two features mentioned above, we will continue to see mostly sunny days through the weekend with high temperatures around 71, and partly cloudy nights with that morning patchy fog still possible, lows near 53.
