The increased zonal flow gave us a cloudy, foggy start to the day, we also had some moisture in the dense fog that developed. The day improved though, and we saw a nice, breezy afternoon. The marine layer will march back to the coast tonight but will likely not push inland so we see a partly cloudy night with light winds, the low near 51.
We will enjoy a mostly sunny day tomorrow with the winds becoming northwesterly 8-12, the high near 68, then a trough imbedded in the zonal flow will give us increasing clouds tomorrow night with northerly winds that diminish after midnight, the lows near 53.
The trough will linger to the west this weekend, while the ridge of high pressure lingers to the east, giving us a continued upper level southwesterly flow which provides us with a mostly sunny day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with the highs near 68, still with partly cloudy nights, lows near 52.
It looks like the dry and mild conditions will continue into the start of next week though we could see a slight warmup, so Monday and Tuesday look sunny with the highs up around 71, some mostly clear nights, lows near 52. The coast range likely warms into the low 80s while the valley climbs up into the upper 80s to low 90s. All that to say….summer continues!
