The marine clouds pushed up against the Coast Range this morning then burned back this afternoon, and with little change in the synoptic weather pattern, it will do the same again tonight. We can expect increasing clouds again tonight, the winds ease, lows near 53.
The low pressure area to the northwest drifts closer to Vancouver Island tomorrow and we see the associated trough extending southwestward from the low off the coast to the west. This puts us under a southwesterly flow aloft but at the surface, we see a mostly sunny day with winds becoming northwesterly 8-12 gusting to 20, the high near 69. Tomorrow night look for partly cloudy skies, the winds again ease, lows near 53.
Saturday looks to be a partly sunny day with the winds becoming westerly 5-10, the high near 67, then in comes the marine clouds again Saturday night, light winds, lows near 53.
It looks like Sunday will be a repeat with mostly sunny skies, the high near 69, but a mostly clear night as high pressure starts to move in, lows still near 53.
The weak ridge moves in Monday and we see slightly warmer temperatures with sunny skies, the high near 70 and on Tuesday, more of the same, sunny with the high up near 71. Still the mostly clear nights, lows near 53.
Yep, we are in the Dog Days of Summer!
