Well, yep, it was warm yesterday, temperatures around the area included 79 at the Tillamook airport, 83 up towards Astoria and the Coast Range was in the low 90s while the valley was in the mid and upper 90s. Today we had another warm day, though not as hot as yesterday, thanks to an increasing onshore flow pushing in the cooler marine air along with the stratus clouds. This means we see cloudy skies tonight; the surface winds diminish so we have a chance of some patchy morning fog again, lows near 54.
Tomorrow, we will have a weak trough of low pressure to the northwest otherwise we remain under a high pressure ridge that will continue to give us the onshore flow, our natural air-conditioning of sorts. The clouds will finally start to break up some tomorrow afternoon, the winds becoming northwesterly 5-10, highs near 69, tomorrow night more clouds and the patchy early morning fog return, along with the calm winds, lows near 55.
Friday the pattern changes little so it looks to be another mostly cloudy day, and cooler, the winds again westerly 5-10, highs only up to near 65, again the clouds and patchy early morning fog return, with calm winds, lows near 53.
The weekend looks good with mostly sunny skies returning, highs near 67, and we see partly cloudy nights, still that chance of morning fog with calm winds after around midnight, lows near 51.
And how about no-change for the start of next week, partly to mostly sunny days and partly cloudy nights, highs near 67, lows near 52. Kinda sounds like summer!
