Another weak front moved across this morning and gave some lucky folks a little patchy light rain. It looks like the front weakens as it moves eastward today and any further rain or rainshower chance ends this afternoon leaving mostly cloudy skies tonight, the winds die off, then some patchy fog is possible starting in the early morning hours, the low near 55.
We see a zonal flow for tomorrow that enhances the onshore flow so tomorrow we see some mostly sunny skies, the patchy fog clears after the sun comes up, and the winds becoming westerly 5-10, the high up around 72. We will see mostly clear skies tomorrow night, the winds ease, lows near 53.
Friday a ridge of high pressure moves across and gives us sunny skies, the winds becoming northwesterly 5-10, highs near 73, and a mostly clear night, calm winds, lows near 55.
Then for the weekend, the ridge strengthens Saturday bringing more sunny skies, the northwesterly winds increasing and becoming breezy later in the afternoon, with the high near 74, a partly cloudy night, the winds slowly ease, lows near 57.
Sunday the warmup continues as the ridge continues to strengthen and moves closer to the area, the breezy winds return, and the high climbs to near 77, mostly clear skies still Sunday night, still a little breezy, lows near 58.
The models get mixed by the start of next week with some keeping the strong ridge over the area while others show the ridge getting pushed east by a low pressure trough moving east through British Columbia. For now, we go with sunny skies for Monday and Tuesday, highs near 76, and mostly clear nights with lows near 55.
Temperature in the valley have been lowered a little for next week with the highs now forecasted in the low to mid 90s, but the nighttime lows only fall into the mid 60s.
