After a high of 73 yesterday, the stratus and fog came in overnight, with the morning low dropping to around 45. Today, the clouds cleared and the upper level ridge of high pressure continued to build in over the area, pushing the afternoon high into the upper 70s with a few spots hitting the low 80s. The clouds return tonight though, along with the calm winds, the low drops to near 50.
Tomorrow the coast starts to cool a little with increasing northwesterly winds while over in the valley, the temperature increases a little, into the low 90s. So, for the coast we see the clouds push back to the coast leaving sunny skies, winds becoming northwesterly 4-8 but increasing to 10-15 gusting to 20 later in the afternoon, the high near 76. With mostly clear skies tomorrow night and light winds, the low near 52.
The ridge starts to shift eastward over the weekend so Saturday we see sunny skies, the afternoon winds becoming northwesterly 5-10, highs only climb to around 71, and with mostly clear skies Saturday night and light winds, the lows drop to near 48.
The ridge continues to move east ahead of a trough of low pressure that is moving down from the northwest, but we manage to squeeze out one more mostly sunny day Sunday, the high near 70, then we see mostly cloudy skies Sunday night with a slight chance of showers starting around midnight, lows near 51.
Monday looks partly sunny with that slight chance of showers still for the morning hours, highs near 67, over to partly cloudy skies Monday night, lows near 48.
It appears Tuesday we have another disturbance pushing towards the area so while we see a mostly sunny dry day Tuesday, more clouds move in that night that also bring another slight chance of showers into Wednesday with highs near 66, lows near 46.
