The front from yesterday continues to push off to the east after giving the area another good shot of needed rain. The high winds along the coast were generally 35-45 though Garibaldi recorded a gust to 55. Next on the weather agenda is a low pressure area that is expected to develop and deepen, but peaking then weakening before it makes landfall along the Washington Coast tomorrow. A few models show the low staying stronger which would impact the winds, and the track is not 100% certain either. For now, we go with more rain and rainshowers with possible thunderstorms, especially late tonight, and the gusty winds still, becoming southerly 10-20 gusting to 30 with some areas of the coast potentially seeing wind gusts 45-55, tonight’s low near 51.
More rain and rainshowers likely tomorrow, along with the threat of thunderstorms, during the day anyway, the winds still breezy with westerly winds 8-12 gusting to 25, the high near 62. The low moves further inland by tomorrow night so we see mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers, the winds ease, lows near 50. The area likely sees another ¼ to ¾” of rain Wednesday.
It looks like another trough will drop in on Thursday bringing us another round of scattered showers across the area, highs near 60, lows down near 45.
The shower activity becomes more widely scattered by Friday afternoon leaving only a slight chance of showers still Friday night, highs near 60 still, with less cloudiness, the lows drop to near 43.
It still appears the weekend will be fair, dry, and mild with mostly sunny skies, the highs warming to near 66 by Sunday, lows around 46. We could see the shower threat returning though with another system on Monday.
