Well, it was a cool, breezy day yesterday with a few light showers thanks to a low pressure trough moving eastward across the area. Today the trough has moved on off to the east, but we still see some clouds getting pushed across from the persistent northwesterly flow. Winds today northwesterly 5-10, the high up around 59. The clouds finally start to dissipate later tonight, and with calm winds and moisture, there is a chance of some patchy fog after midnight, the low near 44.
Tomorrow a ridge of high pressure starts to build in across the area bringing mostly sunny skies with northwesterly winds, the high up near 64, then a mostly clear night with light winds, the low near 45.
The ridge continues to build Wednesday, and with sunny skies, the high makes it up to 70, still the northwesterly winds 5-10 in the afternoon, and back comes a mostly clear night, lows near 49.
The fair and mild days continue Thursday and Friday with the ridge of high pressure continuing to dominate the weather pattern, and that gives us mostly sunny to sunny days, highs up around 71, mostly clear nights remain, lows only near 50. The temperatures over in the valley will be heating up into the upper 80s during this period, peaking in the low 90s Friday, before cooling back into the 80s, then 70s, over the weekend.
Speaking of the weekend, it looks like the ridge starts to shift eastward ahead of a low pressure area dropping southeastward toward British Columbia. This will likely push in a trough of low pressure over the weekend, that pushes mainly to the north of us, but we do see some clouds starting to return Saturday along with some cooling temperatures, with a high near 68 Saturday. Watch for some mostly cloudy skies Saturday night, the low near 50, then only a partly sunny day Sunday, with a slight chance of showers again, the high only up near 63, the low near 47.
A reminder, T minus 3 days to Summer which starts on Thursday the 20th!
