Quite the stretch of nice weather we’re having with more fair, dry, and mild conditions on the way. A look at the satellite picture shows a pretty much cloud free Oregon with the only significant feature being a low pressure area moving southeastward through southern Idaho that is giving eastern Oregon a few clouds. As for us, a high pressure ridge continues to dominate the pattern here, bringing us another sunny day with the high temperatures peaking in the upper 60s. Tonight we enjoy another cloud-free night with calm winds, with the lows in the low 40s.
Tomorrow the ridge starts to shift eastward but not before bringing us another sunny day with northerly winds 4-8, and a high near 65. We start to see some clouds moving in tomorrow night, ahead of a trough of low pressure area off to the northwest moving towards the coast, we keep some light northerly winds tomorrow night, the lows near 45.
The pattern continues to shift on Saturday, so we see partly sunny skies, the winds becoming northerly 5-10 gusting to 18, afternoon highs only near 55, then a mostly cloudy night with diminishing winds, lows near 42.
The trough moves across on Sunday bring us a chance of some light showers under partly sunny skies, the high temperature near 56, then we dry out again Sunday night, lows near 42.
It looks like we are stuck under a northwesterly flow for the start of next week that will provide a road for weak disturbances to ride across the area, bringing us partly to mostly sunny skies until a weak ridge moves in midweek to bring more sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures.
And, that’s it for this week Tillamook, this is meteorologist Gordon McCraw wishing you a happy and safe weekend, see ya Monday.
