EDITOR’S NOTE: Tillamook County’s self-appointed, selfie king Stephen Mintie will be traipsing around Tillamook City with LIVE updates on Facebook … Here’s a list of where he might be hanging out, and also what’s happening throughout the county.
While you are out and about with your costumed cuties, please be sure to stop by our local assisted living communities – Five Rivers in Tillamook (from 2 to 4 pm) will have treats for the kiddos; and Nehalem Valley Care Center in Wheeler – anytime during the day for treats and to show off your costumes. Okay – here we go … Halloween Happenings in Tillamook County – Oct. 31, 2024:
“Hall-o-Nita” in Manzanita – businesses in Manzanita with treats from 3 to 5 pm. Good ghostly Halloween happenings from North to South …
Wheeler’s Candy Toss will be happening on October 31, 2024 from 2:30pm to 4:30ish So, roll down that window and give us a drive by – downtown Wheeler, corner of Rector and Nehalem Blvd.
Calling all witches! 2nd Annual Lake Lytle Halloween Witches paddle is set for October 31st at noon.
Paddleboards, kayaks and other floatation devices are welcome. Witch attire is a must! Free Community Event.
There’s also the FIRST ANNUAL Trunk or Treat in Bay City from 5 to 7 pm at City Hall.
From Stephen Mintie:
Here’s some Tilly Town highlights for the kiddos:
4-6 at the Y there will be a Trunk or Treat with food being sold provided by the Rendezvous
3-5 The Chamber and downtown businesses will be open to Trick or Treaters.
3-5 The Library will have a haunted house available.
Stop by Tillamook Bay Community College on Halloween from 3:00 – 6:00 PM for fun activities, great costumes, candy (of course), and a carnival! Bring the whole family and join us for a wonderful night full of fun and fright
And of course there’s rain forecasted. I’m disappointed. As a ghostly figure myself it’s really going to……… dampen my spirits……
And for the adults, at 7pm we got Scaryaoke at the Ghost Hole in Garibaldi … There will be a costume contest, karaoke, and they really went to town with the decorations. I’ll be there to see how badly I can botch Elvis tunes. Always wished I could sing, but my voice sounds like a cat stuck in a car manifold whenever I try. Rough on the ears, and rough on the eyes too, why, whenever I open the door for the trick or treaters, they hand me candy!
