Astoria, OR – Each year from September 15th to October 15th, our country observes National Hispanic Heritage Month. During this month, we recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic and Latino/a/x peoples to the history, culture and achievements of the United States. It’s also a time to celebrate the heritage, traditions, languages and cultures of our varied Latinx communities.
Consejo Hispano is proud to partner again with Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District to host a celebratory event on Saturday October 7th, 2023 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the Sunset Recreation Center in Seaside.
This is a FREE event open to the entire community. We’ll have Aztec Dance performance, trick roping demonstration, folk art workshops (alebrije painting, clay axolotes, and leather work), crafts for children, photo booth, delicious food, beverages, and community resources.
People are welcome to wear a traditional dress from their country of origin.
We encourage everyone in the community to join us in the celebration of Hispanic culture!
