The Tillamook County Suicide Prevention Coalition is gearing up for our upcoming HOPE Fest events to kick off Mental Health Awareness month throughout Tillamook County. We are bringing HOPE to each part of the county to make it more accessible. These events will each feature a resource fair, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training, and Survivor Storytelling all geared at erasing stigma around mental health and suicide — offering healing, outreach, prevention and education (HOPE) for those affected by mental health or suicide.
Want to get trained in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and help your community be a safer, healthier place? Then please pre-register for a training. Email tcspcinfo@gmail.com with your name, email, and what location you’d like to attend. Spots are limited.
Are you someone that has survived your own struggles with mental health or suicide? Or have you lost someone you love to suicide and you’d like to share about how you’ve found hope? Then please sign up to be a storyteller. Email tcspcinfo@gmail.com. These events will not be open mic style. You must pre-register.
Want a free dinner? Then RSVP to attend and come check out a HOPE Fest. The first 50 RSVPs for each event will be provided dinner at the event. Email tcspcinfo@gmail.com to RSVP.
At the Tillamook event we will also have the InkBus here from Portland doing some mental health/suicide prevention custom flash tattoos. You do have to pay for your tattoos and space is limited, first come first serve.
Any questions or for more information, email tcspcinfo@gmail.com. Let’s share help and HOPE together!
