The Kiwanis Club of Tillamook Foundation is committed to its mission of serving both the children of the Tillamook County AND the children of the world! To that end, we are delighted to announce our 2023 Community Giving award program. Community partners serving the children of Tillamook County, are invited to apply for funding supporting a local project between October 2023 and September 2024.
Some examples of the community impact of past funding awards include: helping the Tillamook FFA purchase a large animal scale with which to weight market animals for competition; contributing to public school art programs through Bay City Arts Center; partnering with Oregon Food Bank Tillamook site to provide Spanish language food education; contributing to the Tillamook YMCA fund for school supplies and Youth sports programs; promoting outreach for special needs older youth through Best Buddies Tillamook.
Applications are available beginning August 1 and must be received by Friday, September 1, 2023. Community Giving grant awards are generally no more than $1,000. Funding is competitive and completing an application is not a guarantee of receiving an award. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. Email us at TillamookKiwanis@gmail.com for a copy of the application or visit our Facebook page.
Notification of awards will be made September 14-20 and will include an invitation to attend the 2023 Community Giving awards celebration on Wednesday, September 27, at noon at Tillamook Bay Community College. Members and awardees agree that the awards celebration is one of our favorite meetings of the year because we get to hear about so much positive impact being made around Tillamook County through the programs and projects being funded!
