MANZANITA, OR – The Manzanita Farmers Market, serving North Tillamook County for 16 years, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the “Power to the Field” project. This innovative initiative brings essential power connections to the farmers market field, made possible by a generous $10,000 grant from Tillamook PUD.
The “Power to the Field” project aimed to provide power for vendors, particularly hot food vendors, by installing a power box and connecting it to the market’s field. This upgrade will enable food trucks, small food vendors, and musicians to access reliable power. Additionally, the market can now serve as a gathering spot with power capabilities in case of emergency events or evacuations.
“We are grateful for Tillamook PUD’s support and commitment to sustainability and innovation,” said Kendra Hall, Market Manager at Manzanita Farmers Market. “This project’s success is a direct result of their funding, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on our community.”
The Manzanita Farmers Market is a farmer/vendor partnership that provides fresh, locally produced goods to the community while fostering a gathering place for commerce and camaraderie. Tillamook PUD’s Community Support Grant, offered annually, demonstrates their dedication to delivering high value to customers, staff, and the community, both now and in the future.
