Red Cross Pacific Region Volunteer of the Week is… Larry Wiedenhoft!
Larry volunteers with our National Headquarters Training Services team as an Instructor Trainer Educator along with other regional positions.
Larry’s supervisor Leisa Cross, Academy and Training Delivery Manager, states “Larry is a valued Training Services Volunteer. Larry’s role as an Instructor Trainer Educator in CPR/FA brings his compassion for serving others out when training new Instructor Trainers. His tranquil composure when delivering this training allows his candidates to learn in a safe environment. Larry has the ability to coach others up to a higher level of delivery while maintaining a strong and trustworthy bond. The number of people of trained in living-saving skills cannot be measured along with the number of lives he has saved through his mentorship.”
She continues, “Larry was one of two chosen to serve as an Instructor Trainer for an American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ALS) prover-level course and ALS Instructor Course, aimed at training Licensed Training Provider (LTD) candidates. This initiative aims to cultivate an internal cadre of ALS Instructors and Instructor Trainers to represent the American Red Cross to our full-service customers in the medical field.”
