Mother- how appropriate for this card to show up today. This, the one day a year we set aside to honor our Mothers. Mothers come in many shapes and forms. Some are biological, some adopted, and some don’t have formal titles. Mother is the ultimate giver of unconditional Love. We associate motherhood with the Divine Feminine. The Divine Feminine represents the connection to the part of your consciousness responsible for nurture, intuition, and Love. We often raise our Mothers to the pedestal of this idea of what it means to be a Mother. But we must also remember, Mother Mary was Divine but also human, just as we are. And this means that we have imperfections. Some of us have been hurt by the humanness of our Mothers, or maybe feel resentment because they don’t measure up to what we want them to be. Whatever your feelings are towards your mother, it is your responsibility.
We all have the Divine Mother within us, and we can forgive and take care to Mother ourselves in whatever way we need, without blame for others humanness. We have the capacity to be divine and human. We can be compassionate and recognize our Mothers as the Infallible human who does the best she can for you. Maybe your Mother has left this world already, but you are still suffering her humanness, forgiveness is your healing. Opening your heart, will also allow for more Mothering Love to flow to you. Call upon Mother Mary to be your Divine Mother, allow her to fill you with the energy of compassion and forgiveness, and feel her unconditional Love surround you. And so it is
