What is Muttzanita? Muttzanita is an annual dog festival in the beautiful beach town of Manzanita Oregon!
In it’s 15th year, Muttzanita raises money for local animal rescues who rely solely on donations.
The money raised at Muttzanita goes to Animal Haven by the Sea.
Animal Haven rescues all animals and has several food banks which support locals who need assistance for their animals.

“Mayor of Muttzanita” & Pet Parade …
Voting locations will be: Manzanita Visitors Center, Four Paws on the Beach, Manzanita Farmers Market (Sept. 8).
Voting will close Sept. 9th at 5 pm – see the candidates at the Manzanita Farmers Market tomorrow night and get in your final votes.
The pet with the most votes wins the election. The new mayor will be sworn in on Saturday Sept 10th at 10:15am (prior to the parade), then ride with their human in the lead car of the Pet Parade. (In case of a tie, the two furry friends will serve together as mayor and deputy mayor)

How I Keep Fit: Chasing the stick he found on the beach. And he’s a bird dog, so there’s that!
Favorite Treat: Pine Cones. He loves going under fir trees, finding a pine cone and chewing it up!
Favorite Place to Sleep: Wherever the last warm spot is. He’s a heat seeker.
Silliest Thing I Do: He smiles. I can get him to do it when I ask him or when he is feeling shy around new people. He is one of the nicest male dogs you will ever meet. He was the runt in a litter of 10 puppies.
