The Oregon firm will represent District during design and construction.
(Wheeler, Oregon) – Klosh Group, Inc an Oregon owner’s representative/project management consulting firm, has been hired by the Nehalem Bay Health District to serve as the owner’s representative during design and construction of the new Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy in Wheeler.
Klosh Group was selected after a competitive selection process and is already at work on the project. The firm’s senior project manager on the Health District construction effort is Chris Mastrandrea, who lives and works in Arch Cape on the north coast near the project site.
“The District was impressed with Klosh’s extensive experience working on health facility projects, as well as the firm’s considerable experience managing projects on the coast,” said Marc C. Johnson, president of the Nehalem Bay Health District board. Mastrandrea’s experience includes project management services at Providence Seaside Hospital and a rural health clinic in Warrenton. Among other duties Klosh Group will coordinate the work of the Health District’s architect, Scott Edwards Architecture, and other consultants and help select a general contractor for the project.
The Health Center and Pharmacy project is nearing the end of architect’s design development stage and the District and its team expects to present updates for the city of Wheeler’s design review process in December.
Meanwhile, the Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy is seeking public comment on the kinds of health care services members of the community deem more important when the new, expanded facility is operational. Please consider responding to a short survey that will help inform the planning
for new services. You can access the survey here or on the Health Center’s website.
