You’ll want to hear the fascinating story of the Cheese War, presented by the author of the book of the same name.
Marilyn Milne and her family experienced the “war,” which took place throughout the 1960s. A story not well known outside Tillamook County, yet it had a lasting impact, particularly in the Nehalem Valley.
Marilyn will be signing books at the event – be sure not to miss this fascinating presentation. Saturday, April 26, 3:30pm at North County Recreation District. Hosted by Nehalem Valley Historical Society.
The Pioneer’s book reviewer Jim Heffernan (retired from the cheese factory) provided a fine review of this book – https://www.tillamookcountypioneer.net/book-review-cheese-war/
