Well, it wasn’t raining sideways like last year, and the North County Light Parade brought joy to lots of folks that lined the route from Wheeler to Nehalem to Manzanita… It takes a village or three, but it also takes an “organizer” and kudos to Kim Troutman for her group text…. From Kris Troutman, organizer North County Light Parade, “What an amazing night!!! It’s really easy to send out a group text to get this kind of thing organized, but what’s really great is the incredible response from members of this community. If you see any of these people in the next few days, thank THEM for the wonderful Christmas display!! Michelle Chestnut, Joel and Amy VanDyke, Laurie Miller, Gayle and Breanna Stephens, Landon Myers, Kristi Woika, Walter Mills, Brad and Kelly Thayer, Scott DeLoe, Justin Telford, Levi Hill, Barbara Boss, My crew..Tim, Megan, and David Troutman, Nehalem Bay Fire and Rescue, the City of Manzanita and SANTA!!!
When we got home My kids and I were talking about how fun it would be to actually sit and watch this one day. Well, they want to sit and watch it. Personally, if you could see what I saw, I’ll stay behind the wheel. Smiles for miles!!! From kids from 1 to 92!!
Merry Christmas!!!”
