Dan “Dannie” Repass was born in Tillamook, Oregon on September 28, 1949 to Daniel and Lucile Repass. He passed away on August 13, 2023.
Dan was raised and proudly lived in Garibaldi, Oregon throughout his lifetime. He worked for his father and later owned and operated Dan’s Union 76 in Garibaldi. Dan worked at the shingle mill in Garibaldi, where he retired as a Millwright after 20 plus years. He was also on the Garibaldi Fire Department for years.
Dan’s greatest joy was helping people and he made a huge impact on many. To many of the local kids, he was known as “grandpa”. His favorite pastimes included going hunting with his grandson and friends throughout the years, going to the swap meet every year, “tinkering” around in his shop welding and just fixing stuff.
He was a very gentle, kind soul who loved with all of his heart. Dan was a hardworking man who took pride in caring for his family by working 6 days a week. He was loved by all and will be missed by all.
Dan is survived by his daughter Ronda Repass of Garibaldi, OR; son-in-law Carl Drollinger of Garibaldi, OR; grandson Tanner Repass of Tillamook, OR; grandson Shawn Drollinger of Roseburg, Oregon and great-granddaughter Huxlie Repass of Tillamook, OR.
A graveside service will be held at the Bay City IOOF Cemetery on September 2, 2023 at 11 am, and a celebration of life at the Old Mill Event Center, in Garibaldi at 1:00pm
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Repass.
