John William Trogdon was born April 7, 1934 in Wayne, West Virginia to Virgil and Lois (Thacker) Trogdon and passed away February 18, 2024 in Tillamook, Oregon at the age of 89.
John grew up in Ohio and served in the National Guards Tank Batalon. John married Olivia “Joan” Stavran on May 12, 1973.
He moved to Oregon and worked for Ponderosa Meats in Aloha. After John retired from meat cutting, he started working parttime for Waud’s Funeral Home. He worked parttime well into his 80’s. John was very active in the community, volunteering for the YMCA sports activities, and the First Christian Church. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his many friends and family.
John is survived by his wife Olivia “Joan” Trogdon of Tillamook, OR. 4 sons Rex (Joyce) Trogdon of Tillamook, OR., Ron Trogdon of Netarts, OR., Yogi (Coleen) Trogdon of Molalla, OR., and Michael Trogdon of Spokane, WA.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Waud’s Funeral Home followed by a gathering at the First Christian Church in Tillamook, OR.
