Info Session in Manzanita on June 23rd, 2023 about the latest updates to state laws and resources for hate crimes and bias incidents in Oregon.

The event starts at 4:30pm. We’ll be tabling and have civil rights advocates available to share resources, materials, and for one-on-one conversations. The info session is scheduled to start at 5:00pm. Advocates will be available for follow up questions after 5:30pm.  We will have simultaneous interpretation in Spanish and the registration form allows folks to make any accommodation requests.

5:30 PM – 5:45 PM – Follow Up Q&A with Civil Rights Advocates (One-on-One)

  2. What to expect from Law Enforcement when making a report?
  3. What resources do I have as a victim or witness of discrimination and bias?
  4. What are examples of hate crimes and bias incidents?
  5. What does safety planning look like for a victim of bias?
  6. How can the statewide Bias Response Hotline help you report hate crimes and bias incidents and explore support?

This info session is a part of an ongoing ‘know your rights’ campaign to raise awareness about state laws and resources regarding hate crimes and bias incidents for Tillamook and Clatsop counties.
