Health officials in Oregon are investigating an outbreak of Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) among people who recently ate mussels that were recreationally harvested from coastal areas in Lincoln, Tillamook, and Clatsop Counties. ODFW is sending you this information and link to a short survey on behalf of the Oregon Health Authority. ODFW will not have access to information you provide in this survey.
Please fill out this short survey if you harvested or ate shellfish from Oregon Coast since May 13, 2024.
Your answers are secure and confidential and will help us learn more about the sources and size of this outbreak. There is no need to complete the survey if you have already completed an interview with your local public health agency.
For additional information about Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning please check out this great resource from our partners at Washington State Department of Health.
Please contact Rosalie Trevejo (rosalie.trevejo@oha.oregon.gov) or June Bancroft (june.e.bancroft@oha.oregon.gov) if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for completing the survey.
